About Clementine Counseling

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m really glad you’re here.
I’m the therapist behind Clementine Counseling, and I hold space for people who are trying to make sense of their stories, relationships, identities, and the world around them. My style is warm, relational, and conversational; less “expert on a pedestal” and more “two humans sitting together, figuring things out with compassion and honesty.”
I believe healing happens in connection. Not rushed or forced, but in the gentle places where your real self gets to breathe.
How I Work
Relational • Psychodynamic • Contextually
Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and built around your voice. Together, we explore patterns in relationships, how past experiences shape the present, and the cultural and systemic forces that impact your sense of safety and belonging.
Clients describe me as warm, intuitive, and deeply human. I bring curiosity, gentleness, and humor when it fits. This is your space, your pace, your story, and I’m here to walk alongside you. You don’t have to hold anything perfectly; you get to show up as you are.
A Bit About My Roots
While life has taken me many places, California is the place that I identify with as home. I still feel most connected to its coast, sunsets, and the people who shaped my earliest sense of belonging. Washington also became a grounding and pivotal place, and much of my work grows from the relationships, communities, and care spaces I’ve found in this state. I’ve worked in nonprofits, hospices, childcare programs, animal sanctuaries, and community centers, with a few barista shifts mixed in along the way. I’m a lifelong reader, music-lover, and sometimes-surfer. I’m also an animal lover through and through, and on days that I am not in the office, you can generally find me hanging out with a furry friend of some sort.
